THE CPEP ADVANTAGE

- Physician Assessment - : - Physician Education Intervention - : - Physician Evaluation -

Peer disputes can be disruptive, and CPEP - Center for Personalized Education for Physicians was created to provide in-depth information and educational solutions needed to objectively address physician performance concerns. In today's environment, competence issues impact everything from quality of care to patient satisfaction to employee morale and public relations. CPEP offers the opportunity for a less adversarial process and more positive outcome for organizations, physicians and the community at large.

CPEP address issues like:

  • Medical ethics education & training
  • Physician performance evaluations and concerns
  • Clinical consulting
  • Re-entry and reinstating of medical licenses

With this program, physicians can:

  • Demonstrate competency
  • Resolve concerns of referring organization, especially for isolated incidences or knowledge deficits

Conversely, CPEP provides clarity in those situations where the discrete concern being evaluated may be indicative of more global problems.

Decisions are informed and supported by a comprehensive, qualitative and objective process. This process can transform a conjectural and adversarial environment into a culture of collaboration, increasing the chances for changes in behavior and patient care patterns.

Program answers questions about:

  • Appropriateness of decision-making needed for adequate patient management
  • Timing of response to pertinent patient presentations and clinical data
  • Depth and breadth of clinical knowledge necessary to address patient needs
  • Ability to respond and make appropriate decisions in stressful situations
  • Consistency of care
  • Other issues related to patient care management

Evaluates:

  • Clinical competence of a physician who has been out of practice for an extended period of time
  • Identification of educational activities needed to enhance physician practice patterns or assist in career transitions
  • Clinical capabilities of a physician with personal health concerns, including recovery from disabling illness or injury, neurological concerns or substance abuse
