The course consists of two components: an online, independent learning portion that you will complete in the Learning Management System (LMS) and a CPEP LIVE (Live Interactive Video Education) seminar portion. The seminar portion runs for three days with a schedule as follows:

Day 1:
Understanding your own behavior style and the style of your team will make you more aware and effective in communicating with others.

8:00 – 12:00 | Session 3 – Behaviors That Undermine Teams Review the Joint Commission article and discuss. Participants will share why they are participating in the seminar and incorporate information from DiSC into their story. |

12:30 -1:30 | Session 4 – Creating A Culture of Accountability Participants are challenged to become more accountable to the team process and will learn skills to create a culture of accountability. |
1:30 – 4:45 | Session 5 – Working Effectively in Healthcare Teams Participants will explore strategies for working effectively within teams – including civility, psychological safety, conflict management, and repair. |
4:45 – 5:00 | Wrap Up and Homework |

8:00 – 9:15 | Session 6 – SCARF: Using Neuroscience to Work Effectively with Others Participants will explore how understanding their triggers and owning the response to those triggers can influence behavior change for oneself and those around them. |
9:15 – 10:15 | Session 7 – Bite Sized Resilience: Cultivating Well-being in Medicine Participants are asked to rate their wellbeing and stress-management strategies and learn some new ideas for improvement. |
10:15 – 12:45 | Session 8 – Action Plan Assignment Participant’s Action Plans are reviewed in class. |
